While Banksy is off galavanting around L.A. for his much-anticipated movie premier, I've found myself strangely enamored by these Google-Earth images of "aircraft boneyards" recently posted by Nick Maggio over at A Time to Get. I'm completely obsessed with the fantasy elements of these photos: it's almost as if you can feel the desert heat pulsating off the shrapneled steel. To see such monumental machines resting quietly in symmetrical rows of mystery and ruin is both haunting and strangely elegant. And the desert backdrop doesn't hurt either. Road trip anyone?
