Thanks IFB!
Yesterday was the Independent Fashion Bloggers (IFB) Conference. I was fortunate enough to make the last 2 panels which I found extremely knowledgeable, especially the one on The Ethics of Blogging. The panel was very impressive; Imran Amed of The Business of Fashion, the amazing Diane Pernet, Gina Garrubbo of BlogHer, Clark Hoyt of the New York Times, Mary Scherpe of Still in Berlin, Jessica Schroeder of What I Wore, and Wendy Brandes the jewelry designer/blogger were the panelists. The second panel was made up of the "celebrity" bloggers (sorry I had to throw that in there), discussing The Future of Fashion Blogging. Susie Lau from Style Bubble, Tavi Gevinson aka Style Rookie, Bryanboy, Phil Oh from Street Peeper, Britt Aboutaleb and Lauren Sherman from Fashionista, and of course the one who threw the whole event together, Jennine Jacob, the founder of IFB. Sorry for the lack of pics... just didn't feel like snapping. The cocktail reception was hosted by Couturious, which is a site where you can play dress-up on your own uploaded image, but it hasn't gone live yet... looking forward to their launch so I can play! I will let you know once it has launched so you can check it.
