Balls to the wall
Nothing like finding a hidden gem. I was fortunate enough to be introduced to the extremely talented, jack of all traits, Zac Thomas, owner of Lucien Manufacturing. This guy definitely knows how to keep himself busy. If he is not flying a helicopter, fixing an engine, cooking up a tasty treat, then you will find Zac working on his hand made/custom leather accessories. The born and bread Berkeley designer, now residing in Brooklyn, is a self taught sewing machine. Check out his latest creations below. You can soon find these impressive necklaces at Bird in Brooklyn. For any inquires about Lucien Manufacturing then email Zac at lucien.mfg@gmail.com.

The jet black one on the string is made out of stingray skin, light brown with purple stitching is cow hide, the baseball looking one is made from real baseball leather, and the dark brown is ostrich leg skin. They are all stitched by hand, and are about one inch in every dimension, the exception being the light brown one, it's an asymmetrical design that is slightly larger and has no perfectly square sides or corners. The are strung on either brown leather string, or string from baseball stitching. Keep your eyes peeled out for this designer, word on the street is his next venture is sneakers! My favorite is the baseball leather!
