Few things match the pleasure of sipping small-batch whiskey in the dead of winter. And the sipping pleasure just got better in Brooklyn with the recent launch of Kings County Distillery and their forthcoming run of artisinal - and rather alcoholic - whiskies. KCD mixes tradition (Kentucky roots), modern methods (think local grain sourcing and recycled barrels) and classic bottle design to create a firewater that appeals to both the connoisseur and his/her guests. Now if only I could get my hands on a taste...
